Ducker Worldwide Appoints Brian Davis, Managing Director – Advisory & Private Equity Coverage

11.07.17

Ducker Worldwide (Ducker) formally announced today that Brian Davis has joined the firm as Managing Director of Advisory & Private Equity Coverage. Davis will work out of its North American Headquarters in Troy, Mich., as Managing Director, and will be an essential contributor to Ducker’s continued growth. He’ll represent key service offerings, including proactive transaction and target identification, due diligence, transaction management, post-merger/acquisition integration and value creation.

“Ducker Worldwide has been a recognized leader for more than 55 years in Strategy Consulting, Market Research and Transaction Advisory services,” said Davis. “I’m thrilled to join a team of this caliber in a hyper-competitive phase of the M&A cycle, to lead our efforts advising Private Equity clients as they consider new investment opportunities, as well as how to maximize returns once they deploy capital. The intensity from investors for new platform investments, as well as add-on acquisitions, is as fierce as I have seen it in my career. Ducker is perfectly positioned to leverage its superior data, analytics and leading industry expertise to accelerate and bring certainty to strategic investments that will place our Private Equity clients on a trajectory toward success.”

Davis has served more than 15 years in senior positions, focused on originating and managing relationships with new clients for leading private equity firms and investment banks throughout the United States. Prior to joining Ducker, Davis founded and was the President of TPG Sourcing Advisors, where he led origination efforts for TPG Growth, TPG Capital’s middle-market fund with approximately $8.4 billion of assets under management, and one of the largest private equity firms in the world. Prior to TPG Growth, Davis was Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Sentinel Capital Partners, a premier middle-market private equity firm with approximately $2.6 billion of capital under management. Davis was also a Partner and the Head of the Private Equity Coverage Group at Charlotte, NC-based McColl Partners, which was subsequently acquired by Deloitte Corporate Finance. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University, and has completed Executive Education Courses at Harvard Law School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

“Brian is a key addition to our management team,” said Joanne Ulnick, CEO and Managing Principal, Ducker Worldwide. “We are committed to growing our Advisory and Private Equity Practice and view Brian’s appointment as key to our success in achieving our strategic objectives. His wealth of experience and industry knowledge are impressive and complement our ethos of serving clients with exceptional service and unparalleled strategic support, to accelerate and bring certainty to clients’ growth planning. We are excited about working with someone of Brian’s caliber, and are confident he will play a key role in providing high-quality solutions for our clients.”
