Extended Enterprise

Extended Enterprise

Global industries are dynamic, changing rapidly and charging through all economic and life cycle phases. Ducker’s Extended Enterprise (EE) Services assist clients in navigating change without losing momentum from external growth and internal team synergies. Our experienced professionals work in tandem with our clients as extensions of executive teams. Clients engage Ducker EE Professionals on an interim basis to fulfill significant functions such as Finance and Marketing without incurring additional payroll overhead or committing to long-term employment; all the while conducting talent searches for permanent job fulfillment.

The First 100 Days

As companies restructure by  adding and divesting divisions, internal teams, financial and other critical issues require targeted, executive attention.  To assist executives in realizing the corporate vision and to keep growth initiatives on track, every company needs to focus on two key areas: finances and brand management / customer relations.  Ducker Worldwide places executive level talent into the company for the first 100 days for hands-on leadership.

Finance:

  • Provide executive leadership as internal staff faces the task of restructuring and rebuilding
  • Consolidate processes and systems as new companies/acquisitions are integrated
  • Develop consolidated financial statements to meet the needs of internal and external audiences
  • Complete a functional organizational chart for financial staff to fulfill holes in the organization

Brand Management/ Customer /Relations:

  • Provide market insight and expertise on moving forward successfully: clients entering into new spaces and/or redefining roles in current markets must understand how their brands are evolving
  • Assists clients in staying connected to the restructuring and evolving customer base and the future impact on the business
  • Manage newly defined brand(s) at an executive level and facilitate communication and marketing to customers

The Second 100 Days

The emphasis in the second 100 days shifts from developing strategy to establishing an action plan.

  •  Strategy development shifts to delegation of roles and responsibilities.  Manpower will either be internal to the company or provided by Ducker on an interim basis.
  • Careful coordination of efforts is practiced to ensure that developed action plans will support goals of the organization and the specific strategies developed within the first 100 days.

The Final 100 days (or Ongoing)

Ultimately, the action plan transitions to implementation. The ongoing involvement of Ducker EE professionals is dependent on and tailored to meet the on-going needs of each client. For example:

  • “Permanent” backfill of executive functions if the client has not hired permanent manpower
  • Ongoing oversight to ensure that the strategies outlined in the first 100 days and the action plans developed in the second 100 days are continuing to be implemented
